Lines of life is essential for enabling the move on the bridge while remaining attached to his harness. 

Unfortunately, this whole "harness-lanyard-life line" is often overlooked, or even "tinkered".

A few principles:
• The anchor of a life line must be made on the points for this purpose.

• Anchor points must cross the bridge and be fitted with a counterbrackets. They must withstand at least 3 tons.

• A life line must not contain n œ ud, and the seams must be tested and calibrated. Ideally, the lines must be located more than the possible vessel to avoid falling into the water.

• Life in strap lines offer the advantage of not roll under the feet. As on all fibers, even unnoticeable aging appears in time (UV, salt water, temperature). 
The ideal is of course to winter his life lines. Either way, they must be changed regularly, and after a cumulative time of 2 years outdoor exposure necessarily.
