Furler ECO CONCEPT KF v3 - KARVER

The ECOCONCEPT KFEC1.5 is a furler that can withstand a workload of 1.5 T. It is intented for sailboats from 25 to 35 feet. The KFEC1.5 is a Karver furler of 3rd generation. With this EcoConcept version, we have sought to significantly reduce the environmental impact of this furler. This development is mainly due to our patent on the continuous line wheel in composite materials. On this version, the carbon is replaced by linen fiber. To complete the process, the plastics are organic sourced (also linen) and we have replaced the anodized aluminum fork with a cast stainless steel fork that uses less raw material and significantly extends the life of the product.

It is fitted as standard with a linen fiber continuous line wheel, a reinforced ABS casing protected by K Krok protection, our 2 in 1 K Snap snap shackle, our remote locking system for the continuous line wheel and a stainless steel swivel also protected by our K Krok impact-resistant protection. There are many options available to make it unique and perfectly suited to your needs. Your furler can also furl an asymmetric spinnaker if you equip it with the KTS adapter.

The KFEC1.5 ECOCONCEPT is delivered with a drum and its swivel. It allows furling in complete safety from the cockpit complementary so-called « flying » sails such as a gennaker, a code 0, a staysail, etc … It is also possible to furl an asymmetric spinnaker by equipping it with our KTS adapter.

– Karver Snap (K Snap) 2 in 1> 2: 1 friction sheave + snap shackle > Very compact & resistant. The only snap shackle on the market to actually hold the full load. The friction sheave will be particularly useful to position your furler on a bowsprit in complete safety. From KF8.0, the K Snaps are replaced by lashing eyes.
– The K Kroks are silicone impact-resistant protectors that we have installed as standard on the ABS casings and the swivels of the Standard, Classic and Structural versions. These new ergonomic protections will effectively protect the boat (hull, deck, mast, etc, ..) and the furler itself.
– Aesthetics : Linen fiber and stainless steel go together wonderfully.
– The use of stainless steel forks significantly lengthens the lifespan of the furler. If your sail is not equipped with suitable thimbles but simple stainless steel rings, the stainless steel fork is definitely a smart choice. A stainless steel ring in an aluminum fork quickly causes big damage : deformations, corrosion, …
