KJSK kit for staysail - KARVER
Product reference: KV-PF855100With the KJSK, it's easier to install a flying staysail on your boat. It uses the existing chainplate as the attachment point for the jammer. It consists of a support adapted to the KJC jammer and 2 high load sheaves, allowing the realization of a 3:1 tackle for tensioning your flying staysail.
The fixing on the bridge is provided by a lashing or with a pin
By buying this product you can collect up to 160 point points. Your cart will total 160 points that can be converted into a voucher of €32.00.

DESCRIPTION :
The KJSK kit has been developed to meet the needs of yachtsmen looking for a system to adapt a flying staysail or a releasable forestay without making major structural modifications to the boat and while being as efficient as possible.
With this kit, a simple chainplate allows you to fix your releasable forestay. The tensioning hoist and the jammer, are fixed on this same chainplate. It is no longer necessary to find a reinforced area on your boat, or to manufacture one, to install a jammer supporting the heavy load of a releasable forestay. In addition, when your staysail is not in position, you can stow the KJSK turret in an instant and thus clear your deck plan.
Another advantage, the distance between the jammer and the hoist is reduced to the strict minimum, so the elongation of the tensioning rope will be less, your forestay will therefore be stiffer.
In the same way that a hook decreases the compression on the mast, the load in the chainplate is reduced by the use of this kit. Indeed, with the KJSK kit, the force applyed on the chainplate, due to the tension of the forestay is only in the axis of the forestay; the horizontal component due to the tensioning rope in direction of the jammer, on a conventional system, is eliminated, which is an important effort.
The KJSK kit makes it easy and quick to install a flying staysail. The staysail tensioning jammer is integrated into a support itself equipped with 2 high load flared sheaves for the installation of a 3:1 hoist. The assembly is fixed on a deck plate. Once the staysail is stowed, the deck is clear.
ADVANTAGES:
- Greatly simplifies the installation of a flying staysail
- No more need to install the jammer on the deck (no drilling)
- Simple & quick installation, use & storage
- Large high load, low friction flared sheaves make for a very efficient and robust 3:1 tackle
- The 3:1 tacke divides the efforts by 3. Less physical effort when powering up. Using a smaller diameter rope.
- The KJ jammer is our famous 3 Jaw jammer. The rope is damaged a lot less than a classic jammer. The rope does not slip despite the heavy load.
- Compact set to keep the tack close to the deck.
- The KJSK is available for attachment to the deck by lashing or by pin of different diameters
- The KJSK is particularly effective for using a staysail on a furler but also works very well for tensioning a simple releasable forestay.
- The use of a KFH lock and a textile forestay makes the assembly extremely performing and efficient.
– Carefully check the dimensions of the deck plate to ensure compatibility with the KJSK
– Remember to communicate the KJSK dimensions to your rigger and your sailboat to adjust the lengths of cable and staysail luff.
– If you already have a furler for your gennaker or your code zero, you can probably use it to furl your staysail as well. Just check its max workload. The loads present on a staysail are often greater than those of a code 0.
– Respect the maximum diameter of the KJ jammers.
